Personally, I can't see Byleth or Otome as killing remorselessly. But we don't know the reasons the killers have, so I won't rule anyone out on the basis of personality alone.

But it isn't as though Sagihara knew he'd be injured, so. . . little reason for him to bring a child accomplice along.
