This is a school for people from other worlds, but they all talked about coming from this one. And they were all very vague about it. I asked Luke if he goes home for break, and he never does, because his home is boring and small. No answer on whether he has family. Viola kept mentioning being from the capitol - isn't that a little strange, too? She knows we aren't from here, no name to the city?
Right. And that they apparently don't know certain stuff about this school that they've gone to for years, like how the campus loops us around if we try to walk out...

We don't know enough to gauge exactly how much of what they say we can trust, or even how much of it is accurate. But it doesn't help us at all to just dismiss it all as lies.
Agreed. They may be lying brazenly, or they may be missing information. The gaps in their knowledge strike me a little as. . . I don't know. If it isn't an outright deception, then maybe some way of keeping them from questioning inconsistencies. It's been known to happen.
Either way, I am not counting on them being very helpful, but we may as well talk to them while we have the time and see if I'll be proven wrong.
It's a high pressure situation, and I haven't noticed you picking fights. Maybe harder to see how well your efforts trying have paid off than for a stranger to see you with fresh eyes.
