A wish to see the story finished, after it was cancelled? And that's why the story is trying to find an ending.

Maybe? I don't know. There's-- at least two people involved, right? Whoever first came up with it, and whoever's in red egging them on. It looks like someone telling them what to do, more than it looks like someone taking notes for themselves.

. . . You know, where I'm from, you would say someone took red ink to a piece of writing if they made some heavy edits.

Yeah. It's not just you. I've been calling them the author and the editor, for short. Taichi also said in that first paper people could buy, there were "editor's note" on that script.

Whoever or whatever "edited" this thing might be the answer?

Yeah. Maybe the story wasn't so bad at first, but someone edited it into something nasty.

Yeah. Whatever they were trying to do, they seem to have... made it worse. I don't think whoever started it is innocent, either, but.

Even with all of that, I'm not sure what to do with any of this information.

My suspicion is if we find Otome's killer, it will help us understand these motivations a little better.

Did you see Luxanna? Leo. . . must have used his sensory deprivation coupon on her. I wonder if we can get Manwol or Lalli to say it was theirs that was used, if it comes up?

She made it sound as though she had a plan, so I don't want to interfere. But. . . putting aside personal feelings, if she is the last one left. . . we cannot risk her being executed while we still don't understand the marquee message.

Beauregard saw what we are pretty sure was Otome's murder. I think she managed to cover them in paint. They are also someone who is able to summon a weapon.

... We'll have to trust Lux, for now, and if we have to, we'll... raise those objections tomorrow, based on that.
