It was a magic school. I studied there for a while to learn how to do what I can do, and then left. Not like this, but not entirely different, either. Now, as Beauregard says, we are a little like mercenaries.

The classes here are way different than what would pass in a normal school. Like...I don't know. It feels like whoever put this place together doesn't actually know how schools are supposed to operate, and it doesn't matter because it's more about the dorm wars.

Chad said the same thing, but, like, in less words. Supposedly there's a ton of ways we can earn vouchers to exchange with the dorm heads for our stuff. Like they can just summon it for the right price.

If it's customized, I think I can imagine. [like magic is new as a concept except in the places it's not, but he can understand what hard work and cultivation of skill actually means.] It might not be a bad idea to ask Luke how much it would cost you to get it back. It sounds pretty important.
