Caiman's just chillin', as you do, with a breakfast bowl he took from the cafeteria. Breakfast is a large portion. ]

Hey, wizard man! [He remembers! ] I'm Caiman.

[He's still a little wary in his body language around this person who tried to bite his head off, but he seems friendly enough.]

Good to know.

[ If this thought were voiced, Caiman would insist again that he is not a cannibal and therefore would not bite people's heads off, also gross. ]

Caleb? Funny name. [ SAYS HE. ] What're you doing?

Very funny. [Is it? It's just a normal name?] Um, you know, just going about my business. Getting a little to eat for myself, maybe.

W1: THURSDAY - FALL DORM.

[ At some point around the day, Caiman will seem to be heading back to the dorm after a hopefully productive morning!...

Though the big guy seems really unsteady on his feet with a hand to his head, and though he seems to try to be getting back to the dorm, midway he suddenly -- falls right over and collapses down onto the ground like a sack of rocks.

He's still moving at least... but struggling. ]

[What the fuck. Well. He probably can't really lift Caiman, but still rushing over to him.]

. . . Are you hurt? What happened?

[ It's fine please don't try to Caleb you'll strain a muscle...

Caiman's just doing his best to at least prop himself back up again. ]

Ugh... head, hurts...

[Well, he'll help him try to sit up, at least?]

week 1; saturday

[He's back in the dorm a little later - before the slumber party probably? So he's easy to stop and talk to.]

[ Caiman is just mucking around. Really uncharacteristically down for someone like him, all things considered. ]

Hey, Caleb. Bad day today.

[ Grumpy... ]

No kidding.

[That's sort of an understatement, my guy.]

[ There's a bit of a stewing silence, and then --

Caiman just starts kicking and just yelling and holding his head. Like a BABY TANTRUM. ]

Fuck, stupid, stupid, stupid! All this shit is so dumb! My world's got no justice system but isn't a trial supposed to be fair or find the real bad guy or something?! [ AAAAH. ]

week 2; sunday

[Caleb is coming up to Caiman in the dorm at some point when not many people are around.]

. . . Caiman, might I borrow you for a moment? I had an idea about something.

Huh? Sure! [ Dropping whatever he's doing, probably some stupid homework, and looking over. ]

What do you need?

[katzepaw]

. . . I think this might help you out, actually.

[He pauses, rubbing at his jaw a little.]

Last week, you showed me the extra credit on your phone about framing someone. Were you able to fulfill that extra credit somehow? If not, do you think you could show me it on your phone again?

Uh -- nah... I haven't done it. [ He fishes out his phone and shows the screen to Caleb. True to his word, there it still is with no sign of turn-in. ]

I also asked Luke about it... he said it probably couldn't be changed.

WEEK 2, TUESDAY - OUTSIDE.

[ Forwarding it a little bit because I think it's late in EST now because I've been bumbling with chapters on mobile single tear. I hope this is OK. If you'd prefer Monday then this can totally still be Monday!

On Tuesday(?), Caiman can be seeing going head to head with the geese, that is to say, he has bakery bread and is shuffling away from a gaggle of them while tearing tiny bits off of his food and tossing it into their group. Loud honking ensues as they proceed to fight each other a little bit to get that sweet, sweet bread. Caiman looks sufficiently triumphant, he will become lord of the geese if he keeps this up. And he'll light up if he sees Caleb in the distance! ]

Oi, Caleb! Check this out, you can totally work these geese if you have enough food -- !

[ Then he'll get swept up right into a memory. It feels like any other, regular old day, spending a day in a familiar and cozy restaurant, with the sign 'Hungry Bug' flickering out in the front. Just any happy evening as usual, and a blonde woman offers Caiman a drink of sake. He happily accepts, and with good food (gyoza) and drink, what could go wrong?

Apparently a lot of stuff, because the memory fades and then blurs back in... and the world is upside down. That is, it appears Caiman and that blonde woman are now strung upside down.

'Hey, Caiman.'

'Yeah, Nikaido?'

'Tell me why we're hanging upside down.'

'Beats me.'

Turns out, it was a robbery. Some asshole in a mask shows up with their register hostage and threatens to kill them. He brings a knife towards Nikaido first, even as Caiman struggles like a worm in his bindings. Then, maybe the most single brilliant idea he's ever had in his life comes to him.

'My arms and legs might be tied up -- but my head isn't!' he says, and with a well-aimed, well-timed swing -- jabs his head spikes into the man's head. Predictably, the man screams in pain. There is just so much yelling, including Caiman yelling 'That hurt?! GOOD!!'

While that's happening, Nikaido appears to have somehow untied herself and drops to the ground... or rather, something untied her? But thanks to that, they manage to unmask their perpetrator, and then proceed to kick his ass... or rather, Nikaido manages to do so, and then Caiman gets untied later.

...In the corner of Caleb's memshare eye, he will see... this thing.

Then they're back. Caiman is shaking his head and then immediately yelling because the geese want more food. ]

Fuck, fine -- have it! [ He yells, dropping the bread on them. And escaping his way towards Caleb. ] Hate this, weird, vision thing!

[I'm. What is this. Caleb watches this memory, but isn't exactly sure what to make of this.]

Yes, I hate these visions, too, but this is the first one with a little pastry man in it that I've seen?

[ I wish I knew too... ]

A little pastry man? What the hell are you talking about?

The little thing running around. . . ? I suppose it doesn't matter. . .

week 3; saturday

[Well, late at night, he's coming to see Caiman in jail. He's brought a cup of to-go peppermint schnapps. He just wanders in silently.]

[ He gets almost the same Caiman as everyone else who has visited jail has -- which is, him sitting there silently at the detention desk. Otome was kind enough to patch him up so his scratched up and bruised face is bandaged, but otherwise, he still looks just as much of a mess as he did at the end of trial, blood over his front from the meltdown and the like.

He's just. Staring into nothing. Despondent. Catatonic. ]

Caiman.

[He whispers a little, peering at him like he's looking for any sign of life.]

Caiman, can you hear me?

[headsplitter]

[ Caiman does stir when Caleb calls his name, and... winces. And immediately glances down. ]

...Caleb...

[ Where can he even start? ]
